Emmanuel Nwobodo

Bio

Emmanuel Nwobodo is a passionate advocate for a better Nigeria with sterling leadership qualities evidenced by his laudable attainments. As National President of the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), Emmanuel led the Association into what is now referred to as the Golden Era by bringing the Association to positive limelight and public admiration even during the pandemic. Standing out amongst his numerous achievements during his stint: Meeting with the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo who expressed his astonishment at the thoughtfulness behind the initiatives championed by Emmanuel's leadership, securing audience and partnership with the President of the International Bar Association, the African Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association. He equally organized a virtual townhall meeting which saw over 3,000 young Nigerians converse with distinguished political office holders including the Vice President, secured scholarship sponsorship for indigent law students, entrepreneurship support grants, several competitions etc. He has been best described by publications as a door between law students and opportunities. On the 9th of November, 2020, Emmanuel became the youngest African to keynote an address at the Annual African International Conference. Based on his excellent performance at LAWSAN, Emmanuel was subsequently nominated and elected as International President of the Federation of African Law Students (FALAS), a role he currently serves in. Emmanuel is committed to rewriting the African narrative through effective leadership and is passionate about training young people to take up critical leadership roles in contemporary society. In his free time, he teaches, mentors and reads.
